In May 2018, ICICI Bank came under scrutiny for failing to disclose that Rajiv Kochhar, Kochhar’s husband, was helping some of their debtors restructure foreign loans. To defend Kochhar and her lack of any financial transactions with Rajiv Kochhar, no disclosure was required by law.
